After watching the Dennis Quaid version of The Parent Trap too many times with our children, we started dreaming of owning our own vineyard. Taking a side-trip to Napa from a family ski-vacation in Lake Tahoe in 2001 only deepened the dream. BUT it had to be parked for 20 years.

In September 2023, Mahan Family Wines made a splash when Forbes featured our family-owned winery and hidden Speakeasy, celebrating our hands-on approach to small-lot wines and intimate tasting experiences. Since then, we’ve been busy crafting, tasting, and winning!

Our vintages have continued to shine, with awards for our Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot—proof that careful vineyard care and family dedication produce wines that delight year after year.
