At Mahan, we've made that tradition our own.
After the holidays, Dry January and the darkest stretch of winter, we open the SECRET DOOR, turn up the piano and gather around Mahan Family Wines and a dinner inspired by New Orleans.
No parade required.
Just wine, food, music and a room full of people who were ready for a reason to go out again.

The candles are lit. Dinner comes out. Wine is poured. The piano gets a little livelier. And somewhere along the way, winter begins to feel considerably farther away.
Mardi Gras isn't one of our quiet evenings behind the Secret Door.
It's meant to be a party.
Around here, that means gathering your people, opening another bottle, staying a little longer and celebrating simply because there's something worth celebrating.
We call that Mahan-ing.

From the outside, nothing announces Mardi Gras.
That's rather the point.
Mahan Speakeasy is our hidden wine bar in Bloomingdale, Illinois—a candlelit room built around wine, food, music and conversation.
For Mardi Gras, the SECRET DOOR opens onto something a little more spirited.
Dinner inspired by New Orleans. Mahan Family Wines on the table. Piano in the room. A few more people than usual.
And for one winter evening, somewhere considerably warmer seems just a little closer.

Throughout dinner, we'll pour wines selected to move with the menu—from bright whites alongside the first courses to expressive reds as the evening settles in.
Some pairings will be familiar.
Others may surprise you.
That's part of the fun.

Before the SECRET DOOR Opens to Everyone,
Wine Club members get the first invitation.
Mardi Gras is one of the few nights each year when we fill Mahan Speakeasy a little more than usual—and membership brings you closer to what's coming next.
Wine Club members receive early access to reservations before remaining places are offered to our subscribers and the public.
Because some traditions are worth putting on the calendar before everyone else gets the invitation.
