Autumn Uncorked: A Mahan Family Wines Harvest Dinner at Villa Olivia

This October, Mahan Family Wines is bringing the vineyard a little closer to Chicago for an autumn evening built around wine, food and the simple pleasure of gathering together.
Mahan Wines Harvest Dinner: “Autumn Uncorked”

Presented with Bartlett Park District, Autumn Uncorked is an intimate wine-pairing dinner featuring Mahan Family Wines alongside a chef-curated four-course fall menu.
Limited to just 40 guests, the evening offers an opportunity to meet the winemaker, discover the stories behind the wines and experience how thoughtfully made Michigan wines can transform a dinner into an occasion.
A Fall Wine-Pairing Experience Near Chicago
The evening begins with a reception of whipped goat cheese crostini with local honey and candied pecans, paired with Mahan Family Wines Sauvignon Blanc.
From there, guests will experience a progression of seasonal dishes and wines:
First Course
Pan-seared scallops with creamy Parmesan risotto, roasted red pepper sauce and micro basil
Paired with Mahan Family Wines Viognier
Second Course
Strawberry and arugula salad with fresh strawberries, candied pecans, goat cheese and Champagne vinaigrette
Paired with Oaked Chambourcin
Third Course
Red wine-braised short ribs with peppercorn demi-glace, grilled asparagus and Yukon potato purée
Paired with Cabernet Sauvignon
Dessert
Vanilla bean panna cotta with mascarpone cream, honey drizzle and pistachio crumble
Paired with Mahan Family Wines Grüner Veltliner
Featured wines will also be available for purchase following the dinner.

Mahan Family Wines produces handcrafted wines from Michigan, including wines grown at Granite Ridge Vineyard near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan.
